Two Maoists surrender in Odisha


Angul: Two Maoist carders, including a woman, hailing from Jharkhand surrendered before Angul Superintendent of Police in Odisha on Sunday to join main stream.

The two surrendered ultras have been identified as Sukuram Purti alias Gulshan (18) and Khusboo Zarari (17).

Both Gulshan and Khusboo were working as 303 rifle cadres in SDS division of banned CPI Maoist outfit since 2012.

The two surrendered red rebels revealed that after security forces intensified anti-Maoist operations, the ultras used to change their location frequently and they had narrowly escaped many times from exchange of fire to save life from operation of Odisha police. Finally, they made up their mind to surrender before police to join the mainstream and to lead a normal life.
