Sudarsan Pattnaik dedicates sand art to mark International Yoga Day


Puri: Internationally acclaimed sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik created a beautiful sculpture at Puri Sea Beach on the occasion of International Yoga Day today.

Through his mural, the artist depicted a person in meditating (Dhyana) under a tree. The artist also created various other significant Yoga poses inscribed with ‘Surya Namaskar’.



International Day of Yoga, or commonly and unofficially referred to as Yoga Day, is celebrated annually on 21 June since its inception in 2015. An international day for yoga was declared unanimously by the United Nations General Assembly. Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice originated in India.
