Malkangiri: Podia police on Tuesday have arrested three officials, including a headmaster in connection with the Matric examination OMR sheet missing case at SSD School in Malkangiri.
The accused have been identified as Jalandhar Behera, the headmaster of Nabin Chandra High School at Gothanpally, Sandip Kumar Sahu, the nodal observer, and Satrughan Swain, the deputy centre superintendent of SSD High School.
According to a press note released by the district police, the students of Nabin Chandra High School were appearing for examination at Podia SSD High School.
The headmaster of Nabin Chandra High school Behera was angry on Bidyut Kumar Patra, the headmaster cum the centre superintendent of the examination centre, as the later did not allow students to copy and cheating at the centre during the examination.
However, Behara, seeking revenge from the centre superintendent, had entered the headmaster’s chamber with the help of nodal observer Sahu and took away the OMR sheets, the note stated.
Satrughan Swain also criminally conspired with the accused persons with a motive that he will become headmaster of the school if Patra is removed from the school and intentionally kept the OMR sheets without locking them, the press note further stated.
The accused trio has criminally conspired together and took away the OMR answer sheets from the head master’s room during the second shift of the examination.
On the other hand, the trio has been forwarded to court.
