No one can defeat Narendra Modi in 2019 polls: Nitish Kumar
Patna: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who swapped partners last week to ally with the BJP once again in Bihar, on Monday, said that no person or political party has the ability to challenge Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the 2019 general election.
Nitish Kumar last week ended his two-year mahagatbandhan or grand alliance with Lalu Yadav and the Congress and revived his partnership with the BJP after an acrimonious parting four years ago.
Last Wednesday, in a shock move, Bihar chief minister Nitish left the ‘grand alliance’ and allied with the BJP. He claimed his move was inspired by “conscience” as he couldn’t possibly support RJD chief Lalu Prasad and his son who was deputy CM, Tejashwi Yadav, following their being named in a CBI corruption case.
