Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today advised the ministers to pay surprise visits to state-run shelter homes, schools, Aahar Kendra and homes for specially-abled children and have their lunch to check the quality of cooked food provided at these places during their visit to different districts.
By doing so, they could know about the quality and hygiene of cooked food being provided and also various problems in these institutions. This could possibly bring development in the management of these state govt-run centres and homes, the Odisha CM Stated.
The Chief Minister has further asked the ministers to keep the information of visits confidential and ensure that not more than 3-4 persons should accompany them during the surprise visit.
The monthly visit reports of ministers should have a detailed report on this running system along with suggestion for remedies, the CM further directed.
