Naveen announces Rs 5 crore aid for Kerala flood victims

Bhubaneswar: The Government of Odisha today extended an assistance of Rs five crore from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for relief and restoration works in the flood hit areas of Kerala.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced the assistance for relief and restoration works in the flood hit state.

On behalf of the people of Odisha, Naveen has conveyed his deep sorrow for the people of Kerala affected by the recent floods in which at least 79 valuable lives have been lost, and there has been extensive damage to property.

A red alert has been issued across the state following the heavy rain.
