Bhubaneswar: Heavy rainfall is likely to occur over the coastal Odisha for three days starting from tomorrow under the influence of a low pressure likely to form over west-central and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre here said on Saturday.
“A low pressure area is likely to form over west-central and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal around October 29. Under its influence, enhance rainfall activity likely over coastal Odisha during 28th (Night) to 30th October 2018,” the special bulletin of the IMD regional centre said.
Under the influence of the low pressure, rain/thundershowers is very likely to occur at many places over North Coastal Odisha, at a few places over south coastal Odisha and at isolated places over interior Odisha on Sunday. Heavy rainfall at isolated places is likely to occur over districts Puri, Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapara district on Sunday.
29.10.2018: Heavy rainfall at isolated places likely to occur over districts Ganjam,Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Kendrapara, Jajpur, Bhadrak and Balasore of Odisha.
30.10.2018: Heavy rainfall at isolated places likely to occur over districts Bhadrak and Balasore of Odisha.
Fishermen are advised not to venture into deep sea of west central and North Bay of Bengal area on October 29 and 30. Fishermen who ever in deep sea are advised to return to the coast by October 28 (night).
