Kidambi Srikanth Pulls Out Of Syed Modi Int’l World Tour

Lucknow: After PV Sindhu, Kidambi Srikanth is the latest to withdraw from Syed Modi International World Tour Super 300 in Lucknow, starting on Tuesday.

On Monday, Srikanth took to Twitter and announced his decision for not participating in the tournament in Lucknow. He further said that “the year has now come to an end for me”.

Before Srikanth’s withdrawal from the tournament, PV Sindhu’s had also announced her withdrawal from the event.

While Sindhu’s reason for not participating is that she wants to concentrate on season-ending BWF World Tour Finals, Srikanth has cited injury concerns for his withdrawal.

Srikanth last made a quarter-final finish at Hong Kong Open Super 500, where he lost to eventual finalist Japan’s Kento Nishimoto.
