Bengaluru/Gurugram: The Bharatiya Janata Party has slammed the ruling Congress-Janata Dal (Secular) alliance for indulging in ‘poaching’ activity in Karnataka.
Sources said it was a latest twist to the political development of the state.
Talking to media BJP Karnataka president and former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa alleged that the ruling alliance is indulging in such a drama.
He brushed aside the allegation that they were in the poaching game and said it is the ruling alliance that is indulging in horse trading. The CM himself is offering money and ministerial posts, Yeddyurappa said.
The Congress has decided to convene a meeting of its state legislature party for a show of strength. The meeting will be held in Bengaluru amid apprehension of the alleged ‘Operation Lotus’ by the opposition BJP to destabilize the Congress-JD(S) government.
Sources said the BJP, meanwhile, continues to keep its MLAs together at a luxury resort in Gurugram near Delhi.
