India beat West Indies to win test series 2-0
Hyderabad: India won the two-match Test series against West Indies by defeating the visitors by 10 wickets in the second Test match in Hyderabad on Sunday.
India won the second Test in the 92nd over of the third day with all 10 wickets intact, taking the series by 2-0. This is India’s 10th consecutive Test series victory at home since the start of 2013.
Umesh Yadav was the star in the second Test with as he claimed his maiden 10-wicket haul in a Test match.
India in the second innings bowled the Windies out for 127 runs and with a led of 56 runs needed just 72 runs to seal the test series. The host reached the victory target in 16.1 overs. Openers Prithvi Shaw (33) and KL Rahul (33) led the team to the series win.
Earlier in the day, India put up a total of 367 on board in their first innings at lunch on the third day of the second and final Test match.
Prithvi Shaw adjudged Player of the Series, while Umesh Yadav received the Player of the Match title.
