Congress to launch ‘Jana Sampark Abhiyan’ across Odisha from tomorrow
Bhubaneswar: The state unit of Congress will launch ‘Jana Sampark Abhiyan’ to reach out to the people across Odisha from Thursday, informed Odisha Pradesh Congress Comiittee (OPCC) In-charge Jitendra Singh here today.
According to the decision taken at meeting held on Wednesday here, the leaders and workers of the party will visit different districts and blocks to strengthen the party from grassroot level.
Initially, the Odisha Congress aims to cover 314 blocks in Odisha ahead of 2019 elections. Besides, the OPCC vice president and other secretaries have been distributed duties in order to carry out the campaign successfully.
Singh also informed that those who want to get tickets in the upcoming elections should have to necessarily draw a minimum of 10,000 members through Mission Shakti Application. After which his/her candidature would be taken into consideration by the party.
The move comes just a day after the ruling BJD launched the month-long ‘Jana Sampark Padayatra’ from Bhubaneswar to sensitise public about various welfare schemes introduced by the State government across Odisha.
