Mumbai: Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Bala has proved to be the actor’s biggest release to date with a total screen count of 3550 screens worldwide.
The movie received all-round positive reviews from the film critics upon its release and had recorded good occupancy of around 25 per cent to 30 per cent in the morning shows.
The film has earned Rs 10.15 cr on Day 1. This is Ayushmann’s highest opening day number in comparison to all his films. His last film Dreamgirl opened with Rs 10.05 cr.

In Bala, Ayushmann Khurrana is playing the role of a 25-year-old guy from Kanpur who is facing premature baldness. The film throws light on his love life struggles. It shows how his baldness affects his career as he gets demoted because of his looks. Bala also addresses the subject of fair skin obsession in India.
Bala’s estimated budget is around Rs 25 crore.
Bala has also faced plagiarism charges from director Kamal Kant Chandra who has claimed that the story script has been stolen, and the script deals with his own life story.
Bala is all set to be Ayushmann’s seventh straight success in a row after Bareilly Ki Barfi, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, AndhaDhun, Badhaai Ho, Article 15 and Dream Girl.
Sooraj Pancholi’s Satellite Shankar and Neil Nitin Mukesh’s Bypass Road also hit the screens on November 8 alongside Bala.
