75 Per Cent Attendance Mandatory For Plus II Students In Odisha
Bhubaneswar: The state government on Saturday decided to bring major reforms in the Plus II study curriculum which includes 75% attendance mandatory for the students.
As per official sources, a student who fails to secure the minimum attendance in the first year will not be promoted to the second year. Besides, the government has proposed the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) to included some portion of first-year syllabus in the second year board exams so that students will not take first-year casually.
Speaking about the new development, School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash said, “mandatory attendance will surely bring seriousness among the students for their studies.”
