Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will dedicate 15 mega projects worth Rs 373.69 crore for Ayodhya during Deepotsav programme on Saturday.
A medical college, construction of a new ghat at Guptar Ghat, Bhajan Sandhya Sthal, restricting of the Ram Ki Paidi to enable uninterrupted flow of water, a 100-bed maternity centre at the district women’s hospital and gateways at the entry and exit points of Ayodhya will be included in the project.
Chief Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh government, RK Tiwari said that more than 5.5 lakh earthen lamps will be lit in Ayodhya on the occasion. According to him, about 4 lakh lamps will be lit at Ram Paidi while others will be at religious places across the city.
The holy city had broken a Guinness World Record by lighting more than three lakh earthen lamps for 45 minutes along the banks of river Saryu last year.
