Washington DC: Indian and US Army soldiers are undertaking rigorous training during exercise called Yudh Abhyas at Joint Base Lewis Mc Chord, Washington DC.
This is one of the longest-running exercises between the Indian and US armies. The Yudh Abhyas is a part of the ongoing Indo-US defence cooperation. This has come ahead of PM Narendra Modi’s visit to the US to attend the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on September 27.
This is the 15th edition of the joint exercise conducted alternately between the two countries. Indian Army’s ADGPI said in a tweet on Sunday: “Sharing the ideas, sharing the vision. Both sides conducted discussions, presentations showcasing strengths and rich traditions of respective Countries and Army. Both sides also shared various case studies of Operations conducted by each side”.
The joint exercise between the two armies is also carried out with an aim to attain a higher degree of jointmanship that will boost capability between the two sides in case of armed conflicts across the globe.
