Bhubaneswar: An imposter was arrested from Mancheswar area in Bhubaneswar on Monday for allegedly duping a man on the pretext of engaging him in a government job.
The accused, identified as Jyoti Ranjan Pradhan of Ghantapada in Angul district was posing as the nephew of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, police said.

According to a complaint filed by Brundaban Pradhan of Talcher, the accused swindled Rs 7 lakh from him promising to engage him in a job at Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL).
Mancheswar police has registered a case (372/18) under Sections 468, 47, 420, 294 and 506 if the IPC. The accused has been forwarded to court today, sources in the police said.
