Yogi promises fast development in Odisha under BJP rule

Bhawanipatna: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday appealed to the public for voting the BJP to power to accelerate the development process in Odisha.

A one-minute silence was observed to pay tributes to the CRPF jawans martyred in the Pulwama terror attack before Yogi began his address at the Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium here. He also remembered freedom fighters Rindo Majhi and Veer Surendra Sai.

Addressing the booth-level workers of five parliamentary constituencies, Yogi appealed to the public to elect the Narendra Modi back to power at the Centre to realise the vision of a new India.

The UP CM made a strong pitch for electing the BJP government in Odisha in the ensuing elections. He called for a Congress-free India and hailed the role of Kalahandi royal dynasty in the politics.

Yogi highlighted various welfare schemes of the BJP government in the Centre like Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana and Pradhan Matri Ujjwal Yojana.

Yogi alleged the Naveen Patnaik-led Odisha Government has constructed only 17 lakh pucca houses in the last 19 years while the BJP Government in Uttar Pradesh provided 20 lakh houses to poor people in two years.

The UP CM also alleged corruption in Odisha government’s KALIA (Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation) scheme which was launched for the development of farmers in the state.
