Bhubaneswar: Even though a hoax made rounds within the media regarding bombing in Vanivihar and two groups clashed among themselves over political issues since then, the incident was brought to reality as two bombs were hurled at Vice-chancellors office and another at a hostel today evening.
Notably, the Twin City police had clamped section 144 in view of the growing unrest in the campus ahead of the students’ union election.
It seems a play of political parties and the oldies claiming to be ex-students indulged in the fight are in a need to have a power of their own rather of the purpose of which the students’ election happens to be an electoral process of democracy. The democracy has lost its way from the very ground level.
Now, the process has born and brought up by some profit-mongerers which the Lingdoh commission had warned off earlier. Since, no action plan was necessitated, a gruesome incident is awaited to enable the commission’s recommendations to be enacted in a proper and efficient manner.
