Vigilance slaps fresh case against IAS officer Partha Mishra


Cuttack: The State Vigilance police on Thursday registered a fresh case against suspended IAS officer Partha Sarathi Mishra, who was arrested by the Vigilance in February in the ongoing year based on corruption charges. Mishra is, however, now out of jail following his conditional bail granted by the High Court last month.

Booked afresh, the hard-pressed bureaucrat is now facing criminal charges for allegedly involved in a conspiracy for dishonestly issuing appointment letters to at least 49 dealers during his tenure as the Managing Director of the Odisha Small Industries Corporation (OSIC).

Besides, the Vigilance police have also booked three other OSIC employees and all the 49 dealers, who were appointed in contravention of the corporation guidelines In this case. The officials include former DGM Ajit Kumar Padhi, Joint manager Santanu Kumar Tripathy and junior manager Sudhansu Sekhar Ota.
