Vicky Kaushal starrer ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ released

Mumbai: Vicky Kaushal played a steady hand and delivered the goods to an extent in the Uri: The Surgical Strike, which hit the theatres today.

Apart from Kaushal, the film, based on the real-life incident of the Indian Army’s surgical strike across the LOC, also stars Yami Gautam, Kirti Kulhari and Paresh Rawal in pivotal roles.

Vicky Kaushal played the role of Major Vihaan Singh Shergil in the film. The story of the film is based on the attack of an army camp in Uri, killing 19 soldiers in September 2016.

Later, the Indian government announced that it had conducted a ‘surgical strike’ across the border, killing an estimated 38 terrorists.

The film is undeniably well mounted, with action director Stefan Richter doing a fantastic job in the battlefield sequences where the men in uniform go all guns blazing.

Moreover, the slick war, a revenge mission has been well executed with the combat sequence around every corner.
