New Delhi: Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have greeted the people of India on the occasion of Constitution Day on Monday.
Naidu in his message said on this day in 1949 the conscientious people of India gave themselves the Constitution prepared under Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.
The Vice President said it is now our utmost national obligation that we should uphold spirit of the Constitution and integrity.
Prime Minister Modi took to twitter and said that the nation recalls with pride the contribution of the greats who served in our Constituent Assembly.
He said people of this country are proud of the Constitution. Modi shared a link of the audio of his monthly radio broadcast programme “Mann Ki Baat” of Sunday. He had dwelt on length about the contribution of Ambedkar in drafting the Indian Constitution.
