Bhubaneswar: Veteran RSS worker Harihar Nanda passed away at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar early on Monday morning. He was 85 years old.
According to sources, he was suffering from Liver cancer following which he was admitted in the hospital. He breathed his last at around 3.15 am today.
The veteran activist was the first Odia campaigner from the regional unit of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Odisha.
Nanda joined the RSS while he was pursuing B.Sc in Kolkata following which he was as a campaigner in Naxalbari area in West Bengal.
Later, he earned prominence in Odisha as the first Odia campaigner from the regional unit of the party in the State.
