Lanjigarh, Kalahandi: On Teacher’s Day, Vedanta Aluminium, Lanjigarh unit organised the prestigious Dronacharya award ceremony to felicitate headmasters and schoolteachers from six Gram Panchayats (GPs) of Lanjigarh block in Odisha for their effort to promote education among the local communities of the region.
Commenting on the initiative, Rakesh Mohan, COO – Vedanta Aluminium, Lanjigarh unit said, “Education is key to the development of our mind and soul. The teachers are the torchbearers who enlighten society. Our initiative provides a wonderful platform, fostering education and encouraging teachers to share knowledge with the children. Vedanta is committed to nurturing education for the social well-being of the community in the villages of Lanjigarh and its neighbouring blocks.”
Teachers from 46 schools were invited for the Dronacharya award program. All of them were felicitated with tokens from the senior management and two headmasters and teachers were conferred with the Dronacharya award.
This was in recognition of their commendable work towards shaping the future of the children of the local communities and in effect, contributing to community development.
