Vajpayee’s family says no to govt facilities

New Delhi: The family of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has set an example by deciding not to use the government facilities.

Vajpayee’s family has refused to take government services such as security and housing. The family said that they are capable of bearing their own expenses and do not want to burden the government treasury.

According to sources, the family members of Vajpayee wrote a letter to the Prime Minister’s Office giving information in this regard. They said that they do not need these facilities.

Vajpayee’s family includes his adoptive daughter Namita, son-in-law Ranjan Bhattacharya and granddaughter Niharika and other members. The family had been living in the official residence located on Krishna Menon Road in Lutyens Zone of the capital. However, now the family has decided to leave the house.
