Utkal Express to run on diverted route on Feb 21 for modernisation work

Bhubaneswar: In view of safety-related modernisation work, 18477 Puri-Haridwar Kalinga Utkal Express starting from Puri on February 21 (Thursday) will run on a diverted route.

According to a press note by East Coast Railway (ECoR), the Puri-Haridwar Kalinga Utkal Express starting from Puri on February 21, will run on diverted route via Cuttack-Angul-Sambalpur City-Jharsuguda Road-Ib & Bilaspur bypassing stations in Cuttack- Bhadrak-Tata-Jharsuguda route.

The route of Utkal Express has been diverted following safety-related modernisation work for the launching of Limited Height Sub-ways between Posotia-Manoharpur and Jaraikela-Bhalulata Stations in Chakradharpur Railway Division of South Eastern Railway, the press note further mentioned.

The ECoR has urged passengers to cooperate with the Railways for this safety-related modernisation work going on at various places for smooth train operations in future.
