New Delhi: The US President Donald Trump is likely to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Houston rally on September 22, according to reports.
The rally is touted as one of PM Modi’s most prominent overseas events.
According to reports, the White House is likely to announce Trump’s participation in the coming days. The Houston event will be Modi’s third major address to the Indo-American community after he became the prime minister in 2014 and the first after his re-election in May.
The rally is likely to be attended by over 60 prominent US lawmakers, including first American Hindu Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard and Indian-American Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi. There will be a congregation of a record audience of 50,000 people, reports said.
An IT services firm had earlier told reporters that the 60 US lawmakers include John Cornyn, Ted Cruz, Al Green, Pete Olson, Sheila Jackson Lee, Sylvia Garcia, Greg Abbot, Cindy Hyde-Smith, Ami Bera, Brian Babin, Raja Krishnamurthy, Tulsi Gabbard, Brad Sherman and Governor Eliot Engel of New York and Jiten Agrawal, CEO of Expedien.
