US directs Pakistan to freeze funds of terror groups

Washington: The US has asked Pakistan to freeze funds and financial assets of terror groups that are on UN sanctions list without delay after Pulwama attack.

The US said it has supported all actions against the terror outfit, JeM.

According to reports, the US has expressed grief and angst over the brutal attack carried out by Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) that killed 40 Central Reserve Police Force jawans in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama on Thursday.

The US has designated JeM as a foreign terrorist organization in December 2001. Reports said the US fully support actions to prevent them from conducting future attacks in India.

Reports said that although “Pakistan has outlawed Jaish-e-Mohammed in 2002, the group still operates in the country.
