Unrest at Madhusudan Law College: Sine Die declared


Cuttack: The clash between two students on October 24 at Madhusudan Law College has led to campus unrest. The College was declared Sine Die today.

On October 24, Satabdi Samantray and Rohini Biswal had a heated altercation following which Satabdi attacked Rohini who was also injured. The college administration had called the guardians of both girls. Rohini’s supporters alleged that the administration had misbehaved with her guardians. She and her supporters even sat on dharna before the college gate. Similarly, the other group also opposed the administration informing about Satabdi to her guardians.

On Thursday, the two groups of students clashed again. The Malgodown Police reached the spot and controlled the situation. Though situation had returned to normalcy, today the unrest worsened and college administration declared Sine Die.

The college Disciplinary Committee will submit a report on the entire incident to the police.
