Two separate road mishaps in Odisha: Minor boy killed, 20 left injured

Keonjhar/Koraput: An eight-year-old boy was killed and 20 persons left injured in two separate road mishaps in Koraput and Keonjhar districts on Friday.

In the first accident, a minor boy Sagar, son of Suren Munda, was killed after being run over by a tractor at Belasarai village under Patna police limits in Keonjhar district today.

According to sources, Sagar was playing in the morning when he was hit by a speeding tractor leading to his death on the spot.

In another incident, at least 20 persons were injured after the bus they were travelling in turned turtle at Kaugunda on Sunki Ghati near Potangi in Koraput district early this morning.

According to reports, a private bus, named ‘Nadiarani’, carrying about 45 passengers was en route to Jeypore from Bhubaneswar when the bus driver lost control and the vehicle overturned to the roadside.

On being informed about the incident, police along with the fire service department personnel reached the spot and shifted the injured victims to a nearby hospital.
