Two hurt in separate incidents of bear attack
Balasore/ Keonjhar: At least two persons sustained critical injuries in two separate bear attack incidents in the districts of Balasore and Keonjhar in Odisha on Sunday.
The first incident took place in Balasore where a youth identified as Jayaram Singh of Rangapur village of Jamudiha panchayat along with his brother, ventured into the nearby forest in order to attend nature’s call when they were attacked by a wild bear.
While Jayaram’s brother managed to escape he sustained grievous injuries on his face, head, back, and hand. He was rushed to Balasore District Headquarters Hospital where doctors stated his health condition to be critical.
In another bear attack, which took place in Keonjhar district a villager identified as Renga Ho of Andharajhi village in Anandpur sustained injuries. Sources said Renga was attacked by a bear when he was in the nearby forest. He has been admitted to the Anandpur hospital.
Earlier, eight persons sustained critical injuries after a bear attacked them at Karangamala village under Boden block in Nuapada district on September 9.
