Two more colleges in Odisha declare Sine Die after Pre-poll violence


Bhubaneswar: Ahead of students’ union election in Odisha, where the aspirant candidates have filed their nominations today, violence erupted in many colleges across the states.

Authorities of the two colleges Alarnath vocational college in Brahamagiri and Bhadrak Dhamnagar College have declared sine die following student unrest.

Staging demonstration against the decision of the college authorities, students blocked Puri-Satapada road disrupting vehicular movement.

Earlier in the morning today, Alarnath Vocational college witnessed abrupt scenario after bombs were hurled on campus.

Worth mentioning, the authorities of the BJB Autonomous College have declared sine die and canceled students’ union election for this year citing ongoing tension on the college premises.
