Two ATM looters nabbed red-handed in Balasore


Balasore: The timely action of Sahadevkhunta Police resulted in nabbing of two ATM looters red-handed while they were trying to steal cash from an ATM in Sahadevkhunta area of Balasore district last night.

The accused have been identified as Mithun Singh of Murshidabad area and Sudeb Roy of Dinajpur area of the neighbouring West Bengal State.

As per the report, impersonating themselves as engineers, the accused duo entered  into the State Bank of India (SBI) ATM unit located in Sahadevkhunta area and tried to open the cash tray of the teller machine.

However, the Central Database of the bank got information on the loot attempt by the security system installed at the ATM unit and alerted Sahadevkhunta Police.

A police team led by IIC Jayant Kumar Behera immediately swung into action and nabbed the looters.

An investigation is underway in the case.
