Toddler loses palm in wild boar attack in Khurda

Khurda: A 15-month-old girl child lost her palm after being attacked by a wild boar near a crusher unit at Dadhimachagadia village in Khurda district on Saturday.

According to reports, the victim’s parents, who are daily labourers, were busy with their work at the crusher unit when a wild boar attacked the girl child playing nearby.

The toddler was critically injured in the attack and her palm got completely ripped off. Her parents, however, rescued her and rushed to the hospital with the separated palm.

Reportedly, the injured toddler was initially taken to the district headquarters hospital and later admitted to AIIMS hospital in Bhubaneswar.
