Three minor boys flee from residential school in Mayurbhanj
Mayurbhanj: Three minor boy students of Swami Vivekananda Shikshashram at Sirisbani in Mayurbhanj district escaped from the hostel premises on Tuesday.
The Class IX students have been identified as Subhankar Mishra of Balasore, Abhinash Mohakud of Rourkela and Hemant Kumar Sahu of Mayurbhanj. The trio reportedly escaped on August 15.
As per family sources, the minor boys managed to escape from the hostel by climbing the boundary wall of the campus.
Besides, CCTV surveillance footage also suggested that the three hostel inmates escaped from the campus at around 3.30 AM and left towards Baripada railway station.
“The trio had already planned to run away from the hostel and they have also drawn a blueprint on their notebook. Though we have searched for them everywhere, they are yet to be traced,” said Sushant Mishra, father of Subhankar.
While a case has been registered with the Sadar Police Station in this regard, the whereabouts of the students is yet to be ascertained.
“A team including SDPO, Sadar PS IIC and a few officials of school have left for Kharagpur for investigation,” said an official of the residential school.
