Three held for stealing electricity wires in Sambalpur
Sambalpur: Kuchinda police on Thursday arrested three persons for allegedly stealing electricity wires and forwarded them to the court. Six bundles of power cables have been seized from their possession.
The accused person were identified as Pintu Makar (25), Budharaj Makar (34) and Sapan Nayak (22) of Raudhabahala village.
According to sources, the trio was arrested on charges of stealing electric wires from the areas of Kandira, Chandanimala, and Gudrapada.
Acting on a complaint registered by locals earlier in August, the police apprehended the trio today and while seizing as many as six bundles of electricity cables from them.
A case under Sections 379, 411 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered by the police in this regard.
