TDP walked out of NDA for BJP’s justice to Odisha on Polavaram: Dharmendra

Koraput: Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday claimed that the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in Andhra Pradesh walked out of NDA only because his party did not agree to do injustice to Odisha on Polavaram issue.

Since BJP is aware about the tribals of Koraput district, the Centre had told the AP government to look into the matter and do the needful for the sake of poor tribals of Odisha, Pradhan told media persons after visiting Kotia gram panchayat in Koraput district.

Kotia will continue to remain an integral part of Odisha, he said referring to Andhra Pradesh’s alleged trespassing into Kotia gram panchayat adding he would take up the matter relating to inclusive development of Kotia gram panchayat with the State government.

“Apart from discussion with the state government, I will also request the concerned Union ministers to make specific provisions to enable the poor tribals of Kotia avail benefits of centrally-sponsored schemes,” Pradhan said.

I would furnish a detailed report on my visit to Kotia gram panchayt to the Prime Minister, he added.
