Taking lift costs life of two students in Bargarh, 3 killed in road accident


Bargarh: In a tragic incident, three persons, including two students, were killed after the bike they were travelling on rammed into a stationary JCB excavator on Padmapur road near Ghensa-Petupali Chhak in Bargarh district on Tuesday.

According to reports, the students of Class IX had taken a lift from a local youth, identified as Saroj Pradhan, while returning back home from tuition.

However, the rider of the bike lost control over wheels of the over-speeding motorcycle and rammed into the stationary JCB engaged in a road construction work.

The deceased students were identified as Baishnav Bhoi and Akash Kumar, of Churiapalli village in the district.

Police rushed to the spot being informed about the accident and seized the bodies for post-mortem.
