Supreme Court-appointed Amicus Curiae’s assistant visits Puri
Puri: Ahead of Supreme Court-appointed Amicus Curiae Rajit Kumar’s visit to Puri, his assistant Priya Hingorani arrived in the pilgrim city today and offered prayers at Jagannath Temple.
Hingorani, who is also a senior advocate, was welcomed at the Singhadwar and led to the shrine’s sanctum sanctorum by servitors for darshan.
The senior advocate will hold discussions with the temple management and other stakeholders on the reforms of the 12th-century shrine later in the day.
Speaking to media, senior servitor Binayak Das Mohapatra said, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration should present all details of Puri Srimandir and its rituals for information of Amicus Curiae and his assistant.
Notably, the amicus curiae will visit the Pilgrim City on February 22 to hold discussions with servitors and the state government officials on the Sri Jagannath Temple reforms.
