Sudarsan pays sand art tribute to Dr Kalam on birth anniversary on Puri beach


Puri: On his 86th birth anniversary of former president and missile man Dr APJ Abdul Kalam today, the internationally acclaimed sand artist from Odisha, Sudarsan Pattnaik, paid tribute to the legend with a beautiful sand art.

Pattnaik created the attractive sand sculpture at Puri sea beach with Kalam’s image on a sand notebook. He wrote in the sand art, “Tribute to Dr Abdul Kalam 86th birth anniversary.”

He also shared his memory of first meeting with the former president by posting a photo on microblogging site Twitter.

Dr Kalam was born in Rameswaram of Tamil Nadu on 15 October 1931 and passed away on 27 July 2015 (aged 83) in Shillong, Meghalaya.
