Stranded in South Africa: Two Odia migrant labourers appeal to return home

Ganjam: At least two migrant workers from Odisha, who have been stranded in South Africa, made an emotional plea to the authorities here on social media to help them return home.

According to sources, the labourers hailing from Khallikote area of Ganjam district had gone to the foreign country a few months ago.

However, after months of work, they were not provided with the salary as promised earlier. Unable to come back, the victims have shared a video to their family members.

In the video, the men narrated how they are been tortured by the company and alleged that they are not provided with the salary as promised.

Through the video, the labourers have urged the district administration to rescue them from the harsh working conditions and bring them back to the native places.
