SJTA declares insurance coverage for servitors, visitors during Ratha Yatra


Bhubaneswar: The Sri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) Puri, has tied up with national insurance company and has declared insurance benefits during Ratha Yatra from 24th June to 7th of July 2017 starting from Nabyoban to Niladribije in case of any accidents resulting to death or accidents inside the temple premises and within the city for the pilgrims and servitors.

The temple committee has paid up a premium of Rs 10 lakh to national insurance company for availing this benefit. In case of any untoward incident the victims will be compensated with a sum of Rs5 lakh.

According to sources last year 3 persons were benefitted and due expectation of a larger number of visitors this year the scheme has been launched for the benefit of both visitors and servitors.
