Six rooms gutted in fire in Cuttack village

Cuttack: As many as six rooms were gutted in a massive fire that broke out at Tulasipur village under Banki police station limits in Cuttack district on Sunday night.

However, no casualty has been reported in the mishap.

According to sources, the fire erupted at one house in Goudasahi of the village and later it engulfed to nearby houses within a few minutes.

On being informed, fire tenders reached the spot and doused the flames. But, property worth lakhs including furniture, vehicles and other assets had burned to cinders by then, sources added.

Though the actual reason behind the mishap is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that a short-circuit might have triggered the fire.
