Simmba: Ranveer-Sara starrer becomes Rohit Shetty’s 8th film to enter Rs 100 cr club
Mumbai: Ranveer Singh starrer Simmba, that entered the Rs 100 crore club, became director Rohit Shetty’s eighth consecutive film to cross the Rs 100 crore mark.
Simmba also featured Sara Ali Khan in the lead. The film also has special appearances by Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar.
With the extended weekend on the occasion of the New Year’s, the collections have soared on Monday and Tuesday, bringing up the total to Rs 124.54 crore in India.
The eight films directed by Rohit Shetty, four of the films are franchise films.
Simmba continues with its terrific run at the Box Office and has collected a big amount on the first day of the New Year. The Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan starrer have registered a collection of Rs 28.19 crore on its days 5.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his twitter handle and announced:

The movies directed by Rohit are- Golmaal 3 (2010), Singham (2011), Bol Bachchan (2012), Chennai Express (2013), Singham Returns (2014), Dilwale (2015), Golmaal Again (2017) and Simmba (2018).
Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Kabir Khan, and Rajkumar Hirani also have three releases each that made it past the Rs. 100 crore mark.
