Similipal to open for tourists from Nov 1


Baripada: The Similipal National Park will reopen on 1st November, sources from Similipal Tiger Reserve (STR) have informed.

Tourists can enter the park through Pithabata or Kaliami points. A maximum of 35 four-wheeled vehicles would be allowed to enter through the Kaliani (Jashipur) check gate and another 25 vehicles from Pithabata entry point, informed Ajit Kumar Satpathy, director, STR

The tourists can book their ticket from Jashipur and Pithabata counter from 6 am to 9 am everyday. In addition, the interested tourists can book in advance for food in the food counter opened at Muktapur for getting only vegetarian dishes. They are advised to abide by the rules of the STR. The tourist groups are not allowed to cook in the national park area.
