Seven PLFI members including Area Commander nabbed from forest in Sundargarh
Rourkela: Cracking down a major whip, the police have arrested seven members of the People’s Liberation Front of India (PLFI) in Sundargarh district with the seizure of a huge cache of arms and ammunition from the naxals.
Acting on a tip-off on the movement of PLFI members in the Kuanramunda forest, a police team raided their hideout in the night and apprehended Area Commander Karan Sai and Zonal Committee member Arjan Rana along with five others from the spot.
Police have seized four rifles including 2 double-barrel guns, 2 pistols, 50 live rounds of bullets and tools used in explosives.
Reportedly, the arrested Naxals were preparing the blueprint for a major attack in the district.
