Seven human skulls recovered in Puri
Puri: As many as seven human skulls were recovered from an isolated place behind Kamala hospital near Ghoda Bazar in Puri district on Sunday. Reportedly, the skulls were found packed in a gunny bag.
The matter came to fore when some locals spotted the sack packed with human skulls and immediately alerted the matter to the local police.
Sea Beach police reached the spot and seized the skulls for forensic examination while further investigation into the matter is underway, said a source.
It is suspected that some miscreants practising witchcraft would have thrown the sack.
The actual cause could only be revealed after receiving reports from the laboratory, a police officer said.
