Sequel of horror-comedy ‘Stree’ to hit screens in 2019
Mumbai: Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor are once again expected to hit the silver screen with the less horror and more comedy sequel of ‘Stree 2’.
The Bollywood flick after receiving a huge response from the audience, the makers have decided to come up with the sequel.
According to sources, producer Dinesh Vijan reportedly confirmed that ‘Stree 2’ is already in the works. He also confirmed that the sequel will be picked up from where ‘Stree’ ended.
Revealing more details about the sequel, he said that the cast of the original film will be retained and the sequel will go on floors by the end of 2019.
‘Stree’, on its first day collected Rs 6.65 crore had excelled the box office after coolecting Rs 14.25 on uts first Sunday, as per BoxofficeIndia.com. The film has reached to Rs 31.40 crore in just three days.
Stree is all about a beautiful woman- a witch who knocks on people doors at night. It stars Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor in lead role. Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurrana, and Abhishek Banerjee appear in supporting roles.
