New Delhi: The security forces have maintained dominance despite Pakistan’s attempts to fuel trouble and disturb peace in Jammu & Kashmir.
The Kashmir Valley has remained peaceful except for sporadic terror attacks targeting civilians and some stone pelting incidents.
Nearly 28,000 additional personnel of central paramilitary forces have been deployed in apprehension of trouble because of the Centre’s historic step.
The restrictions have been eased to a significant extent but the security forces have not allowed any major incident to disrupt peace despite attempts.
The Jammu and Kashmir police on September 12 foiled possibly a major terror attack when it intercepted a truck loaded with a large number of arms and ammunition including 6 AK-47 assault rifles.
