Security beefed up in Sambalpur ahead of CM visit tomorrow
Sambalpur: Elaborate security arrangements have been made in Sambalpur ahead of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s visit to the district tomorrow to grace the 2nd Annual Convocation Day of Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Sambalpur.
Twelve platoon force and 42 police officers have been deployed in and around Burla in view of security reasons. Northern Range DIG Satyabrata Bhoi, SP Sanjeev Arora and other senior officials are reviewing the security arrangement at Sambalpur University’s Biju Patnaik Auditorium where the convocation will be held tomorrow.
Naveen is scheduled to arrive at MCL helipad in the district at around 10.52 am and will go straight to the auditorium to grace the IIM function.
The chief minister is also scheduled to unveil a project in the district.
