SCB Medical gets 140 CCTV cameras

Cuttack: The SCB Medical College and Hospital security issue is being resolved by introducing better security arrangements for the doctors and medical students here. A total of 140 CCTV cameras are being installed in various wards in the hospital.

The cameras will be set up in 60 sites in the hospital in various angles. This will not only bring respite to doctors who are often threatened by relatives of patients but also help in bringing down incidents like newborn theft that has become frequent in the Gynaecology and Obstetrics department where the cameras will be installed also.

Now the medical authorities have also introduced uniforms and identity cards for the Asha workers. Similarly, attendants of the patients are also being given identity cards now since junior doctors had called a four day cease work stir after a patient’s family misbehaved with doctors.
